Design Legends ("DL") had the distinct honour to interview legendary designer Agota Rimsaite ("AR") for their original perspective and innovative approach to design as well as their creative lifestyle, we are very pleased to share our interview with our distinguished readers.
AR : In art - design world I am more than 10 years - I graduated National School of Arts in Lithuania and now I study my last year in Vilnius Academy of Arts in product design. This experience helped my to develop my creativity and professional skills.
AR : Since I was a kid I was very curious and I creative so when I passed the exams to National School of Arts I felt like I finally found the place to express myself. Mostly I like product design so naturally I continued my studies in this industry.
AR : I choose it by myself, I was pretty sure it is the best way to express myself.
AR : Now mostly I focus of furniture design, however I like doing graphic design projects too.
AR : I think the most important is to be brave designing what you like, the best results is when you design what you are truly passionate about.
AR : In my opinion good design define the trendy, good looking, functional design, however great design, attracts our attention of interesting, different combination of materials and most important - makes a positive impact to people lives.
AR : I evaluate how good design is on how different, interesting it is, what makes it special and different from others, what impact it makes for consumer.
AR : Good design changes people lives, brings positivity and solves problems.
AR : My success is being honest in design - in other words design what I truly like and of course hard work.
